Barbara Kajetanowicz - Soprano
Barbara Kajetanowicz has studied singing in Linz at Anton-Bruckner-University (with Gertrud Schulz), and continued her studies at University for Music in Vienna (Rotraut Hansmann und Gertraud Berka-Schmid)
She graduated with „Master of Arts“, and received her artistic maturity in masterclasses with Sena Jurinac, Ileana Cotrubas and Elly Ameling.
She performed in numerous lied and aria recitals, chamber music concerts, concerts with chamber orchestra and symphony orchestra, and concerts with organ, in Austria and abroad: Germany, Italy, Hungary, Romania, Czech Republic, Mexico, Hongkong and Macao.
Soloist in masses in churches all over Austria (Vienna Cathedral Stephansdom, Votiv Church Vienna, Church St. Peter Vienna, Salzburg Cathedral, Linz Cathedral, and many more) as well as in Germany (Passau Cathedral, a.o.), Italy and Czech Republic.
Collaboration with renowed orchestras as Brucknerbund Orchester Ried im Innkreis with Joseph Werndl, Niederösterreichisches Tonkünstler Orchester with Bijam Khadem-Missagh, Wiener Amadeus Orchester, as well abroad, as Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra „Oltenia“, Craiova, under the baton of Ivan Iliev.
Radio- and television recordings in Austria, Romania, Mexico, Hongkong and Macao. Recording of the CD „Voice&Organ“ (2006).
In 2015, beginning of collaboration with the Bulgarian conductor Ivan Iliev under the artistic partnership FORTISSIMO PARTNERS.
Under this management, Barbara Kajetanowicz has organized the Concert Tour Austria 2016 with the Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra „Oltenia“ from Craiova, Romania, followed by concerts with Chamber Orchestra Mödling, Festival Orchestra Bad Fischau and Academy Orchestra Lienz, as well, Masterclasses in Conducting in combination with Singing in Castle Schloss Fischau.
In the fall of 2019, under the artistic management of Barbara Kajetanowicz, the Pleyel Academy in Ruppersthal/Lower Austria was founded.
At same time, the collaboration with the Randhartinger Society in Ruprechtshofen was established, and in August 2020 the 1. Benedict Randhartinger Singing Masterclass - studying and performing songs of the Austrian Romantic composer Benedict Randhartinger - has taken place.
Since the fall of 2020, artistic director and manager of Chamber Orchestra Mödling. For many years, Barbara Kajetanowicz has been teaching as professor of singing, as well, lecturer of stylistics at the Conservatory for Church Music, Vienna.
In her artistic targets, she is focussing on interpretation and expression, attributing to the technique a serving role. Beyond all, she is appreciating authenticity and lucidity.
